WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

On February 10, 2007 the Magnolia HS Color Guard and the MHS Band Boosters will be hosting the 3rd
annual Magnolia Winter Guard Invitational. This event will feature over 80 color guard and percussion units
from around the State of Texas. We have 83 schools coming from Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus
Christi, Victoria, Killeen and Bryan / College Station areas. This is the largest contest we have ever hosted
at MHS and we need lots of help.

This is an excellent opportunity for our students to earn volunteer hours. This is also a great opportunity
for parents to help our band program raise funds for the many programs and activities we offer your child
in the MHS Band.  We can not do this competition without your help.

Your job during the contest is EASY, but we do need a lot of bodies to help us run it smoothly. If you
would like to help out, please fill out the information below. We need band parents and guard parents.
This contest does not just benefit the guard program, it helps raise money for the entire band program.
So your help is very valuable! With your help we can raise over $10,000 in only one day. So please fill out

your second or third choice. Students do not select positions. You will be placed where you are needed.

Once you have submitted your form, we will receive the information in our database. For the
next several weeks, we will be compiling the information and putting together a schedule.
Once the schedule has been made, we will email you the information packet before the
contest.

You will also get an email informing you of when our volunteer meeting will be before the
contest. We will explain to all the volunteers the procedures for the competitions and what
your job will be.
